GOETTL SUPPORTS COLON CANCER PATIENTS WITH SPONSORSHIP OF “GET YOUR REAR IN GEAR” 5K
LAS VEGAS, NV, April 22, 2024 – Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing is proud to announce its role as a Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Get Your Rear in Gear 5K in Las Vegas. Developed by the Colon Cancer Coalition, the event raises money to help remove barriers to screening for under and uninsured people, educate the public about early detection and screening, reduce financial burdens for patients, and fund research to help fight and end colon cancer. The event will be held Saturday, April 27 at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway in Henderson.
“We are incredibly proud to have such a large role in this year’s event. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, yet the chance of surviving colon cancer goes up with early detection and treatment. Unfortunately only 40 percent of colon cancers are found in the early stages, largely due to the lack of access to screening. The more we can draw awareness to the importance of screening, the more lives we’ll save,” says Goettl associate and colon cancer survivor, Michelle Horvath.
“We’re excited that Goettl has joined us in making this year’s Rear in Gear event a success. They have shown enthusiasm and commitment from the start and we are happy to be working with them to raise awareness in our community. Events like these give patients, survivors, caregivers, and other loved ones the chance to connect with others living the shared experience of a colorectal cancer diagnosis while helping create awareness for this very treatable disease,” says Emily Dzieweczynski, Colon Cancer Coalition.
“I was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2022, just days before my 50th birthday,” says Horvath. “For two years before my diagnosis, I had symptoms that my doctors brushed off. Having benefited from colon cancer research, I know firsthand the difference the Colon Cancer Coalition is making in the everyday lives of those who battle this disease. I can’t wait to participate in this 5K with dozens of my Goettl colleagues, feeling the support from them and their families.”

- 1 in 24 Americans will be diagnosed with colon or rectal (colorectal) cancer during their lifetime.
- 51% of adults 50-54 have not been screened.
- Colonoscopy screening can prevent colorectal cancer.
- Colorectal cancer is now the most common cause of cancer death in men younger than 50.
- 1 in 5 colorectal cancer patients are 20-54 years old.
- In 2021, the recommended age for routine cancer screenings was lowered from 50 to 45.

Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.
Billy and John were awesome. Set up everything perfectly and went the extra mile to take care of some additional needs. Definitely the best A/C experience yet.Our tech Jorge that came out the day before helped quickly assess the situation and get us set up for a new system and water heater. We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Goettl as a whole was very easy to work with and I was able to book an appointment as early as the day following my phone call. Great service from start to finish!

Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Jesus Gloria was out within a few hours. I was called to confirm the appointment window. Then texted with the photo attached so I would know who my technician was and the link to track their arrival. Jesus was so professional and explained everything to make sure I understood. He took photos and videos to make sure I could see what he was talking about. Came home from work to an 85 degree house and a broken AC. Called at 0800 and they sent Matt Lopez out by 0915. He quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me the news that no one wants to hear, it needed replaced. He was extremely professional and kind with this news and assured me that we could figure this out. 2.7.24Jay Cruz, technician, arrived on time today to service/check my ac/heating. Jay arrived timely and was friendly. Jay checked my inside unit, ceiling vents, etc and he made some recommendations. He was easy to talk to and very professional. He will be sending me an email with the recommendations and costs associated so that I can save the money to have these taken care of. I will say, no other technician has been as proficient as Jay.Yesterday, 2.6.24, I received a call from Betty. Betty was also very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She listened to me and made recommendations and advice. By the end if the call, I felt like Betty was a friend.Thank you to Jay and Betty!Late one evening I was washing clothes. Daughter noticed water on floor under washer. I was so upset and worried about finding someone to fix the problem, whatever it was, and especially the cost. Goettl this the rescue! Namely, their employee/plumber, Chris! The next day, Chris came, found the clog in my pipes, and…voilà! We joined their $14.95 per month plan and that was all we paid for a job well done! Roy A. was a pleasure to work with. He thoroughly and expertly explained all of the issues with my system with pictures and videos. The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.

My technician Jorge (George) Gutierrez was out today performing the a/c system check. He did a fabulous job and identified significant issues and concerns for the longevity of my current 12 year old system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on what my options are and in the end I’ll be getting a new system instead of worrying about the current system failing in our extremely hot temperatures. He was very respectful of my home and my dog was ecstatic to meet him.
Frank identified the need for new faucets in the master bath and discussed my preferences. The type of faucet being replaced is no longer available (mini wide spread) so he had to do some research to come up with a solution. Had to be ordered, not surprisingly, and we appreciate his conscientious performance.
