Take Common Bathroom Plumbing Issues Seriously!
Complacency can get homeowners into serious trouble, particularly when it comes to their plumbing systems. A lot of times, homeowners are going to react swiftly only when faced with a true plumbing emergency. A toilet backing up into the house, a main water line break, a slab leak flooding the lower level, and so on. These dramatic situations only account for a fraction of all plumbing problems, though. There are a lot of common plumbing issues that homeowners simply deprioritize.
This is a major problem for a couple of different reasons. First of all, “common” doesn’t mean “not serious.” The common cold is, well, common, but that won’t stop it from grinding your productivity to a halt, right? You may be able to plow through your day when you have a cold, but it’s going to be rough. And if your plumbing system has a “minor” problem, the difference is it won’t just get over it without professional bathroom plumbing repairs.
Drips Are a Common (and Huge) Source of Water Waste
The dripping faucet is a major enemy of efficient water usage. We know, we know. It’s just a little drip. It’s barely even noticeable. If you wiggle the faucet just right then you can shut the water off completely. Well, mostly. Trust us, though, that water waste does add up, and that does translate into higher water bills.
Higher bills are bad enough, but it really stings knowing that your bills are higher due to paying for water that you are literally not using at all. Typically, fixing these faucets and fixtures is a pretty minor job for a skilled plumber, and the expense that you incur in having these problems resolved will be earned back with reduced water waste and lower bills.
No, Toilet Tanks Shouldn’t Run All the Time
Another common cause of water waste is the running toilet. When you flush your toilet, you’ll hear the hiss of water filling the tank until—the tank is full. And that doesn’t take five minutes. It doesn’t take five hours. It is not a continuous process.
If you hear your toilet running all the time, or if it eventually stops but takes a long time to get to its stopping point, then you have a problem. It may be something simple like a misaligned or degraded flapper. It could be as serious as a leak in the tank itself. Whatever the case, it’s not such a “minor” problem at all!
Low Water Pressure Isn’t Just Annoying …
… it could be indicative of a serious plumbing leak. There are few things more frustrating than trying to rinse the shampoo out of your hair in the morning and struggling to do so because your water pressure is so low. One of them is definitely the realization that you’ve been putting up with frustration at the expense of your plumbing system and/or your property.
If you’ve had a gradual reduction in water pressure to a single fixture, it’s likely that there is a problem with the supply pipe to that particular fixture. A sudden drop throughout the house could mean a ruptured water main, though. Be sure to reach out about low water pressure in any case. Again, common problems can have big consequences.

Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.

We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Roy A. was a pleasure to work with. He thoroughly and expertly explained all of the issues with my system with pictures and videos. He was transparent about the remediation options available to me and patiently reviewed each option with me. The install team, Daniel and Roy, were equally as awesome. They too were extremely knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and worked diligently to get my new unit up and running safely in one day. I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.

My technician Jorge (George) Gutierrez was out today performing the a/c system check. He did a fabulous job and identified significant issues and concerns for the longevity of my current 12 year old system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on what my options are and in the end I’ll be getting a new system instead of worrying about the current system failing in our extremely hot temperatures. He was very respectful of my home and my dog was ecstatic to meet him.
Frank identified the need for new faucets in the master bath and discussed my preferences. The type of faucet being replaced is no longer available (mini wide spread) so he had to do some research to come up with a solution. Had to be ordered, not surprisingly, and we appreciate his conscientious performance.
