Why Are There Hot Spots in My House?
Here in Las Vegas, it should really go without saying that we need to have great air conditioners installed in our homes. The weather around here is way too hot for way too much of the year to take any chances with the overall quality of our home cooling systems. That is exactly why it is so frustrating and so alarming to discover that there are problems of any kind with our air conditioners in Las Vegas, NV.
One issue that you may notice when cooling your home is that hot spots are popping up throughout your living space. Do not convince yourself that this is a normal situation. The whole point of using a whole-house air conditioner is to cool your whole house effectively and evenly, after all. Subpar Insulation
One major contender for the cause of hot spots in your home is subpar insulation in the affected areas. Insulation must be of the right R-value to successfully insulate your home. It cannot be deteriorated due to moisture exposure from leaks, and if it is chewed up by varmints then you are going to have trouble.
Let us know if your home has hot spots when you are trying to cool it, and we’ll figure out if it is the result of too little or too damaged insulation. If so, we can replace that insulation as needed. It may just be that more insulation is needed, too. Whatever the case, we’ll handle the job right.
Refrigerant Leaks
If your system is leaking refrigerant, then it is not going to be able to sufficiently cool the air that it must distribute throughout your home. That could lead to lukewarm air being distributed, and those areas farthest from the air handler may suffer the most. Refrigerant is not consumed by an air conditioner, but is recycled over and over, so low le.vels likely mean leaks.
Only a professional technician can seal these leaks and recharge the refrigerant in your system. We’ll make sure that a lasting solution is provided. We are not in the business of supplying bandages for the symptoms of underlying problems.
Damaged Air Ducts
Assuming that you use a ducted forced air air conditioning system, the culprit in this situation could be your air ducts themselves. If the ductwork servicing a particular area of the house is damaged, then it can lead conditioned air out. If it is located in an unconditioned area, it can also pull hot air into the system.

Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.

Darren guerra was great, gave us several options and explained in full detail what needed to be done. Very neat and clean in his work. And finished the job in a timely manner. Very happy overall with everything from start to finish. We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Goettl as a whole was very easy to work with and I was able to book an appointment as early as the day following my phone call. Great service from start to finish!

Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. Jesus Gloria was out within a few hours. I was called to confirm the appointment window. Then texted with the photo attached so I would know who my technician was and the link to track their arrival. Jesus was so professional and explained everything to make sure I understood. He took photos and videos to make sure I could see what he was talking about. 2.7.24Jay Cruz, technician, arrived on time today to service/check my ac/heating. Jay arrived timely and was friendly. Jay checked my inside unit, ceiling vents, etc and he made some recommendations. He was easy to talk to and very professional. He will be sending me an email with the recommendations and costs associated so that I can save the money to have these taken care of. I will say, no other technician has been as proficient as Jay.Yesterday, 2.6.24, I received a call from Betty. Betty was also very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She listened to me and made recommendations and advice. By the end if the call, I felt like Betty was a friend.Thank you to Jay and Betty!Late one evening I was washing clothes. Daughter noticed water on floor under washer. I was so upset and worried about finding someone to fix the problem, whatever it was, and especially the cost. Goettl this the rescue! Namely, their employee/plumber, Chris! The next day, Chris came, found the clog in my pipes, and…voilà! We joined their $14.95 per month plan and that was all we paid for a job well done! Thank you!3.26.24Tyler Leija was great! He checked my drain pipe outside with a camera. Advised everything was clear. He checked my kitchen and master bathroom sinks and toilet. Tyler was friendly, but professional. Thank you.4.17.24Frank M arrived here on time. He was friendly and professional. He explained everything he was going to do today. He completed everything he mentioned. He provided suggestions of things that need or should be taken care of. Nothing urgent. He installed the water heater sensor in addition to other plumbing type things. He drained the water heater. He spoke to his supervisor, Terronne (sp?). Should received estimates for hvac and water heater. Thank you Frank! Great job!

Roy A. was a pleasure to work with. He thoroughly and expertly explained all of the issues with my system with pictures and videos. He was transparent about the remediation options available to me and patiently reviewed each option with me. The install team, Daniel and Roy, were equally as awesome. They too were extremely knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and worked diligently to get my new unit up and running safely in one day. I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.
