Heating Repair Needs Caused by a Clogged Air Filter
It’s a fact of life in Southern Arizona—one of the hottest places in the Continental U.S.—that we don’t spend a lot of time thinking about our home heating system. Air conditioners are on our minds, but not heaters. We consider ourselves lucky that we don’t have to worry about blizzards and cars that won’t start in the morning, but one downside of this is that our heaters often go without the regular care they need—such as routinely changing their filters.
A clogged furnace or heat pump filter can trigger serious trouble for a heater. If you remember to change the filter once a month during the summer to keep your air conditioner healthy, try to carry over the tradition into the colder months. You should at least change the filter before the first time you turn your heater on for the season.

Replacing burnt out motors
The purpose of an air filter is to prevent dust contamination (and other debris) from reaching the inside of the cabinet of the furnace or heat pump. If dust gets on the motors, it can interfere with their moving parts, increasing wear to the point that they will eventually burn out and require replacement.
Cleaning the burner
Gas-powered furnaces use jets along their burners to produce the heat that warms up the air. If the burner gets choked with grime that gets through a clogged filter, it won’t be able to draw enough oxygen to light. This problem can also snuff out the pilot light. The result: no heating power at all. Professionals will need to remove the burner and clean it.
Repairing broken blower fan belts
This afflicts both furnaces and heat pumps. Debris that enters the cabinet can damage the belt from the motor that turns the blower fans. Not only will damage to this belt stop the fan from functioning properly, but a broken belt will strike against other components and cause further damage.
Make sure you avoid these problems with diligent changing of the air filter in your furnace or heat pump. Whenever a repair need crops up, make sure you attend to it as soon as possible so that it doesn’t get worse. Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.

We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.

My technician Jorge (George) Gutierrez was out today performing the a/c system check. He did a fabulous job and identified significant issues and concerns for the longevity of my current 12 year old system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on what my options are and in the end I’ll be getting a new system instead of worrying about the current system failing in our extremely hot temperatures. He was very respectful of my home and my dog was ecstatic to meet him.
Frank identified the need for new faucets in the master bath and discussed my preferences. The type of faucet being replaced is no longer available (mini wide spread) so he had to do some research to come up with a solution. Had to be ordered, not surprisingly, and we appreciate his conscientious performance.
