What’s So Special About a Heat Pump?
There are a lot of great heating options out there that you should explore in order to guarantee that you choose the system that you really want. However, the heat pump is unique among them. How Does It Work?
A heat pump in the summer season acts just like a central air conditioner. Refrigerant is evaporated in the indoor coil, and that allows it to draw heat out of the air passing over it. The refrigerant then travels out to the condenser unit, where it is condensed and releases its heat in the process. That cycle continues until your home is sufficiently cooled down.
A component called a reversing valve allows the refrigerant cycle of a heat pump to be reversed, and the functions of its coils are reversed as well. During the heating season, refrigerant evaporates in the outdoor unit of the system. Heat is drawn out of the air surrounding the outdoor unit, and the refrigerant is compressed in order to boost its thermal energy. That heat is then released in your home as the refrigerant is condensed indoors.
The Benefits
The most obvious benefit of using a heat pump is the fact that you get your heating and cooling system all in one package. Considering how mild our winter weather typically is, it makes sense to lump your heater in with your AC. The other benefit of the heat pump is its incredible heating efficiency.
You’ll notice that nowhere in the description of its operation above do we mention how heat pumps generate heat. That is because they don’t. Instead, the heat pump transfers existing heat into your home. That seriously cuts down on energy consumption, meaning that you can heat your home in a very affordable manner by using a heat pump.

Great review for Goettl Plumbing.We had an blockage in our sewer line.Tyler Leija was dispatched the same day, and found the blockage using a camera tool.He cleared the blockage temporarily.The actual fix would require digging up and replacing the bad area of pipe.Paulo "Adrian" Dado and his crew came out the next day with backhoe, dug up the area, and replaced the section of pipe.The next day, after inspection, Adrian and his crew filled in the hole and then cleaned up the area.This is a brief description. There was A LOT of work involved.Very professional work.

We were hearing hammering between the walls. Tyler came out to my home to perform an evaluation. After doing several tests he quickly found the issue. We discussed several options. I ultimately opted to have the problem fixed to avoid damage to other appliances. He completed the work in a timely manner.
Peter helped a lot with explaining the root cause of our AC unit not functioning as well as it should be, and explaining why he recommended the fix/parts that he did. Took plenty of time to troubleshoot what was actually going on as opposed to just treating the symptoms, and explained in an easy-to-understand way what he found and how to fix it. He also gave good advice about simple DIY maintenance we can do moving forward to keep the system healthy! Our AC went down for the upstairs unit. We have a maintenance plan through another company but they do not provide 24/7 service. I called Goettl and I am so happy I did. The water softener (which is outside) was ruined by the recent weather. Rudy and Chris were able to diagnose the problem and replaced the softener on same day. This was critical to avoid any plumbing problems in the house. We appreciate their professionalism and attention email to detail.

My technician Jorge (George) Gutierrez was out today performing the a/c system check. He did a fabulous job and identified significant issues and concerns for the longevity of my current 12 year old system. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on what my options are and in the end I’ll be getting a new system instead of worrying about the current system failing in our extremely hot temperatures. He was very respectful of my home and my dog was ecstatic to meet him.
Frank identified the need for new faucets in the master bath and discussed my preferences. The type of faucet being replaced is no longer available (mini wide spread) so he had to do some research to come up with a solution. Had to be ordered, not surprisingly, and we appreciate his conscientious performance.
